The violent threats made today against several Historically Black Colleges and Universities throughout the nation are despicable and yet another indication that the explosion of hateful extremism is out of control.

Yesterday, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries spoke on the House Floor to call for a Conference Committee on a spending agreement that meets the needs of the American people and make clear that House Democrats will not vote for legislation that harms the American people.

I am shocked by the murder of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. Political violence of any kind and against any individual is unacceptable and completely incompatible with American values. We pray for his family during this tragedy. 

Today, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries held a press conference where he called out Donald Trump and House Republicans for failing to lower costs and affirmed that Democrats will not vote to rubber stamp the reckless, right-wing attack on everyday Americans.
