Since January 20, the actions of Donald Trump and his Rubber Stamp Republicans — many of them unconstitutional and in violation of federal law — have led to the firing of essential civil servants with responsibility for public safety and health, caused severe disruptions for small businesses and nonprofits and had serious impacts on individuals who count on government services in their day-to-day lives. If that wasn’t bad enough, Republicans forced their One Big Ugly Bill into law, enacting the largest Medicaid cut in American history and slashing nutritional assistance for families – all so Republicans can give a tax cut to their billionaire donors. Republicans have created a healthcare crisis: health insurance costs will skyrocket for everyday Americans, hospitals will close, nursing homes will shut down, community-based clinics won't have the ability to operate and as a result, people are going to die.
