Internships
Internships are available throughout the fall, spring and summer semesters for college students. The hours are flexible to accommodate students’ hectic course schedules, but generally take place during office hours Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
All interns must be high school graduates who are enrolled in or have recently graduated from an accredited post-secondary educational institution, college or university. We are seeking applicants with a mature, professional manner who are well-organized, efficient and self-motivated. Women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, veterans and those with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Executive and Personal Office:
The Office of Congressman Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) is seeking motivated, detail-oriented interns to work full-time, in-person in a fast-paced leadership and personal office. Intern responsibilities include administrative work, research, event planning and assisting the Executive and Personal Office. Applicants must be able to work 40 hours per week in Washington, D.C. and may occasionally be asked to work additional morning or evening hours.
The term of this paid internship will be from May to Late July/August 2026. Applicants must be able to work in Washington, D.C. Ideal applicants must have a professional and positive attitude, strong research and writing skills and a detail-oriented work ethic.

Press Internship:
The Office of Congressman Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) seeks highly motivated Press interns to work in-person in a fast-paced leadership office. Responsibilities include compiling daily press clips, drafting preparation materials for media hits and assisting with press-related events. Applicants may occasionally be asked to work additional morning or evening hours.
