LEADER JEFFRIES STATEMENT ON SENATOR DIANNE FEINSTEIN

Washington, D.C. – Today, Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries released the following statement: 

Senator Dianne Feinstein was a trailblazer and a titan in the United States Senate. Throughout her historic career, both the Golden State and the nation have been well served by her tremendous leadership. During her time in the Senate, she led the charge on monumental legislation like the Assault Weapons Ban and the Violence Against Women Act. As the first female Mayor of San Francisco and the first woman Senator from California, she paved the way for generations of women leaders to follow in her footsteps. 

She will be greatly missed and the entire House Democratic Caucus is keeping her family and loved ones in our prayers.
