LEADER JEFFRIES, MORELLE STATEMENT ON LATEST TRUMP ATTEMPT TO TAKE OVER ELECTIONS

Today, Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Committee on House Administration Ranking Member Joe Morelle released the following statement:

Donald Trump has repeatedly said he wants to nationalize our elections, because he intends to steal them. Once again, the President appears intent on manufacturing conspiracy theories so Republicans can desperately cling to power while their extreme agenda is being overwhelmingly opposed by the American people. 

We reject the legality of any executive order based on debunked claims of Chinese interference in the 2020 election. Democrats will not allow Donald Trump to take over this election and neither will the American people.
