With only six days until government funding lapses, Donald Trump and the GOP continue to march this country toward a painful Republican shutdown, while exacerbating the healthcare crisis that they have unleashed in America. Democrats have been clear that we are willing to sit down and work toward an agreement that protects the healthcare of the American people and improves their quality of life. After agreeing to our demand to meet to prevent a government shutdown, Donald Trump threw an unhinged temper tantrum and cancelled the meeting. By refusing to so much as meet with Democrats, Donald Trump and Republicans are barreling the country toward a painful government shutdown. The American people will hold President Trump and Republican sycophants in Congress responsible.
