LEADER JEFFRIES STATEMENT ANNOUNCING DEMOCRATIC HEAD OF THE NATO PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY FOR THE 119TH CONGRESS

Today, Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries released the following statement:

It is my privilege to announce the appointment of Congressman Brendan Boyle as the Democratic head of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly for the 119th Congress. Rep. Boyle will capably fill out the term of the late Rep. Gerry Connolly. 

During his time as Co-Chair of the Congressional EU Caucus and Vice Chair of the NATO PA Political Committee, Rep. Boyle has been a clear and consistent voice in support of our transatlantic alliance. As the lead Democrat, Rep. Boyle will bolster efforts to protect a rules-based society in Europe, strengthen our relationships with Western allies at a time when they are facing unprecedented turmoil and forcefully push back against Russian aggression in Ukraine and beyond. 

We will not abandon our friends in their hour of great need.
